Narra Smith Cox

Narra’s wheel-thrown and hand-built stoneware pottery pieces are designed to be enjoyed – for their look, feel, and function. Much of her inspiration comes from her garden; you’ll see she uses rhubarb, collard greens, cabbage and hosta leaves in some of her pieces, and designs other pieces to enjoy a garden’s harvest.

Narra works from a home studio (also known as the basement and garage) and then as a member of the Madison Potters’ Guild fires the pots a second time (the glaze firing) at a shared firing facility.  Narra only uses lead-free glazes; with care her pots are safe to use in the oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.
